Sears Road 2010 Gewurztraminer
The Hawke's Bay grape growing region is situated on the east coast of New Zealand and is bounded in the west by the Kaweka mountain range and in the east by the Pacific Ocean.
Hawke's Bay, is loved for its sunny climate, fabulous beaches, sheltered coastal plains and long-established vineyards.

Floral and youthful, this softly perfumed wine shows lovely ripe stone fruit
characters on the nose followed by a succulent palate. The wine flows nicely
through the palate showing with mouth-pleasing flavours.
Crushing / Pressing: Hand pick, whole bunch press. Cold settled overnight then racked off gross lees for ferment. Hard pressings were kept separate then combined once fined.
Fermentation: Fermented in tank with selected aromatic yeast. Fermented at approximately 13-15°. Fermentation lasted 4 weeks. Following ferment the wine was lees stirred weekly for 2 1/2 months to add texture and complexity.
Barrel Handling: No oak
Finning: The wine was protein stabilised using Bentonite then cold stabilized. The wine was palate fined using casein.
Filtration: The wine was filtered off tartrates and finings.
