Sears Road 2009 Sauvignon Blanc
The Hawke's Bay grape growing region is situated on the east coast of New Zealand and is bounded in the west by the Kaweka mountain range and in the east by the Pacific Ocean.
Hawke's Bay, is loved for its sunny climate, fabulous beaches, sheltered coastal plains and long-established vineyards.

Varietal Mix: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Residual Sugar: 7gm/l
Total Acidity: 7.87gm/l
It's nicely aromatic on the nose displaying green capsicum, citrus and currant characters. The palate is intense and juicy showing excellent vibrancy and crisp acidity leading to a pleasant dry finish. A mouthful of tasty flavours.
Crushing / Pressing: Machine pick, pressed to tank for settling. Free run and pressings kept separate. Juice was cold settled overnight then racked off gross lees for ferment.
Fermentation: Inoculated for ferment in tank with selected aromatic yeast. Fermented at approximately 13-15°. Fermentation lasted 2 weeks. Following ferment the wine was racked off gross lees and So2 adjusted.
Barrel Handling: No oak
Finning: The wine was protein stabilised using Bentonite then cold stabilized. The wine was palate fined using casein.
Filtration: The wine was filtered off tartrates and finings.
