Aorangi Road 2010 Sauvignon Blanc.
'Aorangi Road' is a family owned vineyard situated on the ancient alluvial shingle terraces at Mangatahi high above the Ngaruroro River. As one of the most elevated vineyards in Hawke's Bay its North facing slopes enjoy long and hot summer days but chill off overnight making this the perfect place for the Sauvignon Blanc grape.

Enjoy aromas of passion fruit and gooseberries with a lively acidity and Sancerre-like mineral flavours to savour. Great on its own, with fresh fish, seafood or Asian foods.
Harvest: Grapes were harvested on flavour to optimise the melon and mineral characters that our vineyard is known for. The grapes were gently pressed and cold settled for 3 days.
Fermentation: In stainless steel tanks at cool temperature to maintain full fruit profile and retain acidity utilising a number of aromatic yeasts resulting in a luscious rich palate with mineral characteristics
Bottling: After 3 months on lees the wine was protein fined and stabilised, then sterile bottled.
Vintage 2010 was a superb year for Sauvignon Blanc in Hawke,s Bay and winemaker Peter Robinson has crafted a succulent full-bodied wine with excellent fruit, showing ripeness, lots of New Zealand characters, plenty of life and cheerful drinking for the next two to three years
