The exceptional 2007 vintage shines through in this built-to-last Bordeaux blend which is only just hitting its stride. The 2007 vintage was harvested at Te Awanga in Hawkes Bay and matured for nearly two years in French and American oak barriques (60% new). Fragrant and full coloured it's a blend of Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Franc (40%), sweet fruited and savoury, with excellent depth of blackcurrant, plum, spice and nut flavours, still fresh and youthful.
